The docking of the floating crane Volgar completed


On October, 17, the service subdivision of the Caspian Energy Group (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK)) – the company Crane Marine Contractor finished the docking of the Volgar floating crane.

The technically sophisticated work was engineered by PJSC CKB KORALL and consisted of 24 stages of ballast water pumping.

11th through 16th October the LLC Crane Marine Contractor experts, working 24/7 made it possible to lift the floating crane Volgar onto the deck of the transportation pontoons Mar&Gon. At present, preparation work is in progress prior to the crane repair job: set scaffolding, provide electric power via a cable from the shore, set out equipment on the pontoon.

Reminder: marine, non-self-propelled floating crane Volgar is a pontoon-type crane with a non-rotating twin jib. Volgar is to be put through a scheduled certification survey by Russian maritime register of shipping. It is a most powerful vessels of this class in the Caspian.
