“Lotos” shipyard (included into “USC”) has established its own Metal Processing Facility.

Modern shot blasting and metal passivation machines ROSLER as well as rolled metal thermal cutting machines RUM-4500 were taken into operation in the Lotos shipyard workshop on the 9th of September.

Aleksandr Zhilkin – governor of the Astrakhan region, Aleksandr Tsibulsky – deputy to Economic Development Minister of RF, Eugeniy Zagorodniy – vice-president on civil shipbuilding of “USC”, Sergey Milushkin – general director of “LOTOS” JSC, have taken part in the official ceremony of the Facility opening.

According to Dmitry Antonov, temporary acting general director of “Lotos” shipyard, this new Facility will let the company have the work scope of more than 50 thousand tons of processed metal by 2020. From it: 22,6 thousand tons – for shipbuilding; 9,4 tons  – for oil and gas industry facilities; more than 10 thousand tons per year – for metal processing services. Proposed delivery points: South Federal District, Volga Federal District, countries of the Caspian basin.

“Lotos” shipyard is an anchor resident of “LOTOS” economic zone.
